ROTARY FUNDRAISING PROJECT: PIZZA FEST
Organized by Lisa Smith and Gary Hollett, Pizza Fest raises funds for Rotary designated charities by hosting a competition amongst pizza vendors in Pictou County with the public voting for their favorites from several categories. The event was held at the wellness center and received television coverage.
The project was widely attended, and all Rotary members participated. Live music was featured at the event and accounted for the very high attendance the night the event was held. Pizza Fest, along with Wine Fest, has become a signature Rotary Club of New Glasgow event.
