Ribfest is a professional barbecue competition that has expanded across North America, travelling from city to city raising money for charitable organizations. It is a community-focused event, featuring entertainment, specialty vendors, and children’s programming.
We are now accepting applications for sponsors, vendors, volunteers, and programming.

The New Glasgow Rotary Club has been handed the event by the previous event producers. We are excited to announce Ribfest as our largest annual fundraiser.

The New Glasgow Rotary Club is asking for a recommended donation of $5 to enter the site to help the club meet its fundraising goals and event costs. Each $5 donation will receive a ticket to be entered into door prizes. No person will be turned away if they are unable to donate.

New Glasgow Rotary Club has a fundraising goal of $50k and has chosen then following groups to receive proceeds:
SchoolPlus Pictou County (Pictou County Wide)
Meghan's Place Accessible Playground (Westville, NS)
Dolly Parton's Imagination Library (New Glasgow)
Accessible Bocce Ball Permanent Installation at Rotary Park (New Glasgow)

The New Glasgow Rotary Club has a goal to make the outdoor event site entirely accessible. The site will feature a shaded area with seating that will be prioritized for any persons with mobility needs.
Accessible washroom access will be placed in the mobility seating area as well in the general washroom area.

The Main Entrance is on Riverside Parkway close to the TD bank. The rest of the site will have emergency exits only so please only enter from the main entrance.

The event site is outdoors and will continue in rain or shine! Please come prepared with sunscreen, a sun hat and other clothing items that will help you enjoy your stay safely.
A refillable water station will be located on the site for refillable water bottles courtesy of the Town of New Glasgow. Bottles of water will also be sold on site by New Glasgow Rotary Club for $1.
